Acts: Essentials in Church Planting

This week Jake shares a message on translating the actions of Paul and Barnabas into some essentials for church planting in our culture today. Jake teaches from the following set of verses Acts 14:19-28, Romans 5:1-5 and James 1:2-4 . Paul and Barnabas found success in church planting through their perseverance, relentlessly preaching the gospel in the face of persecution, making disciples and through the receiving of encouragement that can only be found in Christ.

Acts: Restore

Scott returns to share a message from Acts 13:13-52 focused on the restoration power of the Gospel. There are many times in our lives when we get bogged down with day to day details and we end up missing the larger perspective of what we are trying to accomplish. We often see Christ as a figure that rules from on high and is separate from us, but the truth is he is right here with us. There are no situations that we can not overcome with him by our side. Find restoration in your brokenness this week as you look to Jesus as our one and only redeemer.

Teaching from Acts 10, Scott challenges us to stop discussing what the bible says to do and start doing what it says to do. Acts: Spirit of the Resurrection

Jake McVay shares a special message from Acts 9:32-43 and Ephesians 5:1-2. Jake encourages us that even when we are faced with a difficult situation to understand that God is in control and his ways may not always coincide with our ways. In this section of Acts we find Peter beginning to imitate Christ and we are all challenged to live our lives as imitators of Christ. Allow your belief in Christ to unleash the power of the Holy Spirit this week.

Acts: Saul of Tarsus

Scott Christensen continues our sermon series from Acts 9:1-19 with the story of Paul and his conversion on the road to Damascus. Many of us are scared to let go of our pasts and feel God can not use us because of the things we have done in our lives but let Paul's conversion be an example of how God can use the worst of people to do his will. Let God meet you this week like he did with Paul on the road to Damascus.
