Grace: Key Ingredient to Giving

Written by Travis

As we continue our Generous series Scott Christensen leads us through a discussion of Grace and how it relates to our potential to be generous within our lives. Scott starts in Matthew 6:24 were we find Jesus describing the element of money competing against our relationship with Christ. Allow Christ to have full control of your life, your time, and your possessions and see what he can do with you.

Generous: Mission in Recession

Written by Travis

We have begun the month of September by kicking off a new sermon series entitled Generous. Generous is about challenging everyone in the church to consider how you are investing in the Kingdom of Christ. We have all been given specific talents and more than just giving under the guise of traditional means (with our checkbooks) we would like everyone to dig into the gospels and learn what it truly means to be investing in the Kingdom! As we conclude our first year God has been moving in some amazing ways and, as we want to be a church that submits to his will, we believe we are going to see some even more amazing things in this next year! Will you consider joining us?

We begin the series with a message entitled Misison in Recession. Scott Christensen begins by teaching from 2 Corinthians 1:1-11 asking the question, "What is God's plan for us in the recession?" Listen as we look at the following verses: Proverbs 16:33, 19:21, Psalms 33:10, and Isaiah 46:10.

Love Others: Image Of Group To Be Relevant

Written by Travis

This week Scott Christensen finishes the Summer Blockbuster series with the final message from Matthew 22:37-39. Scott teaches about the identity of Renovo and the desire to keep Jesus as the center of all that we do. Scott finishes up with teaching about the picture of the early church from Acts Chapter 2. Our calling to be believers is about more than a series of tasks or ministries that we participate in, it is about the gospel, its about Jesus. Last month we read through the book of Matthew together and we would like to challenge everyone to read through the book of Mark with us this month!

Welcome to the new website. We have renovated the website to be more functional and hopefully you will find it more useful. We have added pages and changed layouts to help manage the content a little better. The website has proven to be a useful tool for getting information to people and introducing them to Renovo. If you have any comments or suggestions about ways we could do things better we would love to hear them! Contact Us

This week Jake McVay continues our Summer Blockbuster sermon series with a message on reaching out to others through consistent contact. Jake illustrates Jesus’s actions of ministering to people and meeting them within the context of culture. Jake looks at the calling of Matthew the tax collector and the story of Zacheus as examples from Jesus’ ministry while also sharing some personal examples of how we can more fully engage the community around us.
